It is more than just a garden or a source of fresh ingredients for us. It is a way to slow our selves down and experience true seasonality of Lithuanian nature. It is our way of getting back to the ingredient itself - seeing where it starts and how it grows. It does take additional effort and time. But it's worth doing that as it brings true understanding of the local farmers and respect for the work they do.
The Sweet Root garden is located 50 km from Vilnius and accommodates quite a few varieties of vegetables and herbs that we use at the restaurant. The green house project gives a chance to enjoy more that 15 different kinds of heirloom tomatoes. Further more, we do love foraging in the forests and meadows around the garden. To find something new or simply forgotten.
